Charlotte man wins $3 million from scratch-off ticket

A lucky Charlotte resident named Carvent Webb won a whopping sum of $3 million playing Fabulous Fortune game with $30 scratch-off ticket.

The winning ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven on Mallard Creek Road. The store will receive a bonus of $30,000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket. 

Webb recently claimed his winning amount from the lottery headquarters and chose the lump-sum amount of $1.8 million and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $1,272,722.

The revenue distributions are as follows: 51% was paid out in prizes, 38% was transferred into the education fund, 7% was paid to the retailers who sold lottery tickets, and 4% went to general lottery expenses.
