Charlotte resident wins the lottery of $1 million in Powerball

Charlotte resident wins the lottery of $1 million in Powerball, someone in the Charlotte county is now $1 million times richer than before. 

The $2 Powerball ticket was purchased at the Harris Teeter on South Tryon Street and matched all five white balls. 

The winner has not yet came forward to claim the lottery prize. 

Lottery owner has a total of 180 days to claim the lottery prize, afterwards the ticket will expire and prize won't be claimed. 

According to Powerball officials, the odds of matching all five white balls are 1 in 11.6 million.

No one won Saturday night's Powerball jackpot bringing the jackpot prize to $89 million for Monday's drawing.
