Charlotte man wins $200k for buying lottery ticket for just $5, the winner was feeling blessed, his small investment turned out to be a big win.
Bruce Tipton who is 41-year-old construction worker. He became the first winner of the top prize in the new $5 Carolina Jackpot game.
He bought the $200,000 lottery ticket from Circle K on Freedom Drive right next to the Freedom Village Shopping Center.
He opted for the one time lump sum instead if getting the full amount in installments and received the amount of $142,021 after the applied taxes.
I was honestly too scared to drive, Tipton said. It took a while before I could stop shaking.
