Cash 5 lottery jackpot worth $398K sold in Durham

A Carolina Cash 5 player who bought their ticket in Durham struck it big in Wednesday night’s drawing.
According to the North Carolina Education Lottery, a ticket sold at the Family Fare Convenience Store at 801 Broad St. in Durham won the $398,873 jackpot.
It had been eight drawings since the Carolina Cash 5 jackpot was last won, according to the NC Lottery.
Carolina Cash 5 is a daily draw game with a rolling pot that starts at $100,000 and grows until a ticket matches all five numbers and hits the jackpot.
If anybody has a winning ticket, the player must keep it safe and claim the winning prize by visiting the nearest lottery headquarters. The player can also have the facility of calling or sending mail to start the claiming process.
