California Woman's $2,000 Lottery Win Turns into $2 Million Jackpot Surprise

Ruby Evans of California had an unforgettable experience after purchasing an Instant Prize Crossword Scratchers lottery ticket from Sweet Time Donuts in Compton.

Initially believing she had won $2,000, Evans was in for a major surprise. As the ticket was scanned, the California Lottery revealed that she had actually won the game's top prize of $2 million.

Remarkably, this is Evans's third time winning the lottery. In 2013, she claimed $100,000 from a different scratch-off game, and she also won $5,000 on another occasion.

Sweet Time Donuts, the store where Evans bought her ticket, will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
