While waiting for their meal, Tim went to the nearby gas station mini-mart, a routine he often follows to buy Lottery Scratchers.
This time, his luck turned, as he scratched a Diamond 8's Scratcher ticket and realized he had won a staggering $1 million.
What's interesting is that Tim didn't immediately share the news with his wife; he surprised her with the incredible win during their drive home.
Tim, who regularly buys lottery tickets, had never experienced such a significant prize before.
The owner of G's Food Mart, where the winning ticket was sold, will also receive $5,000 for their part in the fortuitous sale.
