Calgary Resident Claims Million-Dollar Prize in Lotto 6/49 Draw
A resident of Calgary is celebrating a newfound millionaire status after winning $1 million in a Lotto 6/49 draw on October 18, 2023, as announced by the Western Canada Lottery Corp.
Edouardo Santos, the fortunate winner, discovered his windfall while checking lottery tickets before an international trip.
Upon scanning the ticket and seeing numerous zeroes, Santos double-checked to ensure he counted correctly.
Despite winning $1 million, he managed to keep his composure. Santos shared, I put it together and got really quiet I wanted to go home and tell my wife.
The family's plans include using part of the jackpot to pay off their house and sharing some winnings with their daughters.
Santos expressed gratitude, stating, It takes us a step closer to retirement, too. Its a huge blessing.
