Burnaby man grabs the lottery of hal million dollars in Lotto Max, the winner of the $500,000 plans for a vacation with the lottery prize.
It's the third time, in two months that a local had won such a big amount, a Burnaby resident was announced as the winner of a major lottery jackpot.
Yuk Fai To after taking home $500,000 from the Lotto Max draw on June 3 in sharing a $1-million Maxmillions prize with another player from the prairies.
Fai To purchased and checked his winning ticket at the Shefield Express in Metropolis at Metrotown.
"I'm very happy and surprised. It's wonderful. "
"I found out I won when I was at the store and was very surprised. The first person I was most excited to tell I won was my wife. She was super excited for me!"
Fai To is planning to take his wife on a cruise, as well as helping his family.
