A fortunate player in Broome County received an early holiday surprise, securing a second-prize win of "$1,000 a week for life" in the recent CASH4LIFE drawing on December 23, announced by the New York Lottery.
The winning ticket was purchased at Jay's One Stop on 51 Commercial Dr. in Johnson City.
This second-prize win guarantees a minimum of $1 million for the lucky recipient, who has a full year to claim their prize, as per the New York Lottery guidelines.
In addition to Jay's One Stop's winning ticket, another significant win occurred in the Southern Tier. A 7-Eleven in Steuben County sold a third-prize Powerball ticket valued at $50,000 on the same day.
