Boston student won $1 million worth lottery jackpot in Massachusetts State Lottery, the winner will soon be $1 million times richer than before.
Jean Roody Chery, the student who won million dollars purchased his lottery ticket at Laly’s Market located at 2 Fairmount Ave. in Hyde Park.
He chose to get his winnings as a one time lump sum and took home $650,000 before taxes.
Chery wants to use the money to help him pursue a career in healthcare, the Massachusetts State Lottery said.
The retailer will receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling the wining lottery ticket.
