Belleville resident wins $50,000 with Instant Bingo

Vicky Gainforth, a retiree from Belleville, Ontario, has won a $50,000 prize playing Instant Bingo. She says she plays the lottery at least once a week and her favourite games are Bingo, Crossword and Scrabble.

When asked about her win, Gainforth said, "I was scratching my ticket when I uncovered the box and I was so surprised because I never win big." She shared the news about her win with her daughter and sister, who were both happy for her.

Gainforth plans to buy a vehicle and take a trip to Maine next year. "It's just beautiful there in the summer. I will save the rest," she said.

Instant Bingo is available for $3 a play and the top prize is $50,000. The odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.79. The winning ticket was purchased at Mac's on Bridge Street in Belleville.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission promotes responsible gambling with their globally recognized PlaySmart program.
