Australian man wins $70 million recently in Oz lotto lottery game
A record breaking jackpot of $70 million has been won in the latest Oz Lotto draw in Australia.
It is the biggest ever jackpot awarded by the game in its 25 year history. The lucky winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, is from Victoria and has been described as "very excited" and "over the moon".
Although Oz Lotto's previous highest prize was $50 million, this draw saw the highest ever jackpot for an Australian lotto draw.
This win also marks the fourth biggest division one winning prize in Australian lottery history. The most recorded for a single winner was where two people split a $107.5 million Powerball prize.
The record breaking prize is likely to generate excitement among regular Oz Lotto players. Oz Lotto conducts draws weekly every Tuesday.
Players pick seven numbers from 1 to 45 in order to win a share of the prize pool. The winning numbers in the latest draw were 27, 11, 25, 17, 26, 18, 39 and Supplementary Numbers 11 &33.
