An Upstate guy scoops a big jackpot recently in a lottery game

A convenience store stop on the way to go hunting turned into a $500,000 lottery win for one Upstate man.

According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, the man purchased a $10 Grand Stacks scratch-off game from the 7-Eleven on Liberty Highway in Anderson County.

“It was a blessing,” the man told lottery officials. “I don’t have any plans for the prize money yet. Me and the wife are going to decide that together.”

One top prize remains for the Grand Stacks game, according to the lottery.

The winner has planned to pay all his due bills after claiming the winning prize money and also he wants to celebrate his winnings with his family and friends.
