Massachusetts Player Scores $1M Halloween Lottery Win

Talk about the ultimate Halloween treat — no tricks here! A Massachusetts lottery player walked away with a $1 million prize after hitting big on the “$25,000,000 Mega Money” scratch-off. The lucky ticket came from Gulf Mart in Sunderland, and the win was claimed on Friday.

? Highlights from the winning streak:

  • The $50 Mega Money ticket, launched in May, is one of the Lottery’s most exciting games yet.

  • It’s the third $50 scratch ticket from the Massachusetts Lottery, following the smash hit “Billion Dollar Extravaganza” from 2023.

  • Each winning ticket in this game is guaranteed to be worth at least double the ticket’s cost.

  • Even non-winners still have a shot — they can be entered into 10 Second Chance Drawings to win up to $50,000.

Friday turned out to be a hot day for lottery luck — at least 51 winning tickets from the game were claimed, including two worth $20,000, four worth $10,000, and seven worth $5,000.

But the biggest prize is still out there! None of the three $25 million grand prizes have been claimed yet. The odds of hitting one? A steep 1 in 8.4 million. There are also 10 unclaimed $1 million prizes remaining, with odds of 1 in 2.1 million.

Across Massachusetts, more than 560 prizes of $600 or more were claimed that same day — from Springfield to Boston, the state was buzzing with winners.

For 2025 so far, the top two lottery prizes stand at $15 million each, from the “Diamond Deluxe” and “300X” scratch games. Looks like the Bay State’s luck is still rolling strong!
