Adelphi man won $1 million jackpot in Mega Millions draw
Adelphi man won $1 million jackpot in Mega Millions draw, the winner will soon be $1 million times richer than before.
The winner purchased two lottery tickets one was Powerball and the other was Mega Million from the 7-Eleven store in Adelphi.
"I don't have a favorite game, really. Not even one I've played more than once or twice," the hospital maintenance worker said.
He was driving home from work where he remembered about the Powerball jackpot and then he purchased two lottery tickets.
After scanning the lottery ticket, he couldn't believe what he was seeing, this was the first time he won this big.
The winner visited Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim his prize.
The store will also receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning lottery ticket.
