A woman scratch off lottery player from Massachusetts wins a big jackpot
A Massachusetts woman has won a $1 million scratch-off lottery prize. Marianne Angelillo had been playing the Massachusetts State Lottery's $20 "Million Dollar Extravaganza" scratch ticket for some time when she finally won the big prize.
The lucky winner was in shock when she realized she had won the $1 million prize. "I just stared at the ticket and couldn't believe it," she said.
"I'm still in shock!" Angelillo plans to use her newfound wealth to pay off her mortgage, take a well-deserved vacation and invest for retirement.
The Massachusetts State Lottery Commission congratulated Angelillo on her amazing win and reminded other players that anyone can win at any time.
Angelillo is the fourth person to win the $1 million prize since the "Million Dollar Extravaganza" game was launched in 2019.
