A Powerball lottery ticket worth $150,000 was sold for Wednesday’s drawing at a QuickChek in Union County, while a $50,000 ticket was bought in Essex County.
The $150,000 third-prize ticket — purchased with the Power Play option for an extra $1 — was sold at the store on North Avenue East in Cranford, the New Jersey Lottery said.
A lucky winner bought the $50,000 ticket at the Nutley Newstand on Franklin Avenue in Nutley. No one across the country hit Wednesday’s $181 million jackpot, pushing the jackpot for Saturday’s drawing to $200 million with a cash option of $89.5 million.
Two second-prize, $1 million tickets were sold nationally — one in Arizona and one in North Carolina. Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 6, 12, 28, 35 and 66.
The Powerball drawn was 26 with a Power Play of 3X. In addition, no one won the secondary, $10 million Double Play drawing. Those winning numbers were 8, 10, 25, 33 and 66. The Double Play number drawn was 20.
