A winning $5 million mega millions lottery ticket is sold out in Florida
Someone in Florida just got $5 million richer and the Mega Millions jackpot soared as the lucky numbers were drawn Tuesday night.
No one nationwide matched all five numbers plus the Mega Ball in the drawing worth $619 million. The numbers were 12-14-26-48-52 and the Mega Ball number was 21.
The lucky winner who purchased the ticket at a Crystal River Publix matched all five numbers and got a prize boost from the 5x Megaplier.
The last time someone took home a Mega Millions jackpot was the Sept. 10 drawing. A winner in Texas matched all 6 numbers to win the $810 million jackpot.
Only three Mega Millions jackpots have been won so far this year including a $1.1 billion winning ticket that was purchased in New Jersey in March. That prize is still unclaimed.
Winners in New Jersey have one year to claim their winnings. The top Mega Millions jackpot ticket $1.6 billion was sold in Florida in August of last year.
