A Powerball lottery player from Northeast Ohio scoops a big jackpot recently

Although nobody won the $199 million Powerball jackpot in the latest drawing that was held on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, the Ohio Lottery says there were thousands of winners who hit smaller prizes throughout the state.

Ohio Lottery officials said a winning ticket worth $250,000 was sold at Discount Tobacco & Beverage in Richmond Heights.

The lucky numbers from the Wednesday night drawing were 1, 6, 7, 13, 40 and Powerball 5. The Power Play option was 5x.

The jackpot now climbs to $214 million for the next Powerball drawing, which is set for Saturday, Nov. 30, at 10:59 p.m. That prize has a cash option worth $99 million.

Powerball lottery officials say the odds of hitting the jackpot are one in 292,201,338, which is slightly better than the Mega Millions odds of one in 302,575,350.

The odds of hitting a $1 million winning ticket in Powerball, meanwhile, are one in 11,688,053.52.
