A scratch off lottery player from Walton County scoops a big jackpot recently

A 37-year-old Walton County woman hit for $1 million on a Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket.

Rebecca Clarke of Santa Rosa Beach claimed the $1 million prize from the BONUS LETTER CROSSWORD Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.

Clarke purchased her winning ticket from Cumberland Farms at 42 U.S. Highway 98 W. in Santa Rosa Beach.

The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
