A Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in New York, someone in New York just got $1 million times richer than before.
The $1 million second-prize Powerball ticket for the Saturday's drawing was sold at a Garden City gas station, the New York Lottery announced Sunday.
The $1 million winning lottery ticket was sold at the Garden City Super Pumper store at 791 Stewart Ave.
Muhammad Bhatti a part-time store employee from which store the winning ticket was sold, said he was working on Saturday and could have possibly sold the winning ticket.
Though the staff of the store can't pinpoint the winner, he said they were surprised to find out that there store has sold the million-dollar ticket.
