A scratch off lottery player from Allegheny County scoops a big jackpot

Someone in Allegheny County scratched off a $5 million winning Pennsylvania Lottery ticket.

The Pennsylvania Lottery announced the winning Five Million Fabulous Fortune ticket was sold at Chocolate & Chances in downtown Pittsburgh.

The Five Million Fabulous Fortune's top prize is $5 million and costs players $50 per scratch-off. Scratch-Off winners have one year from the game's end-sale to cash in on their prize.

In its announcement, the lottery said, "Scratch-offs are distributed at random, meaning the Pennsylvania Lottery and its retailers do not know where winning tickets will be sold.

The lottery learns where winning tickets are sold only after a prize has been claimed." Chocolate & Chances will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
