A Maryland elementary school teacher wins $250K in Maryland Lottery scratch-off game, the teacher will soon be $250,000 times richer than before.

The 58-year-old returned home $250,000 richer after winning the top prize in the Maryland Lottery’s Gold Rush scratch-off game.

She bought the $10 scratch-off game early one morning in Ocean City.

She decided not to reveal her identity and remain anonymous.

“This was too exciting,” the winner said in a statement. “I had to wake her up to tell her I won.”

That is the kind of news one enjoys to hear first thing in the morning.

This is not the first lottery win for the teacher. He won $10,000 last year playing the Racetrax game last year, lottery officials said.
