A lucky kentucky man recently wins $50,000 in scratch off lottery game
A Kentucky man is celebrating his birthday a month early after he won $50,000 on a Kentucky Lottery scratch-off ticket.
Robert Fisher, of Campbellsville, stopped at the Prayosha Food Mart on Old Lebanon Road Friday and got a $5 Cash Plus ticket.
While still in the store, Fisher scratched off the ticket to discover he had matched numbers for the game's $50,000 grand prize.
“I looked three or four times, and I’m saying, that can’t be right. My heart skipped about two beats," said Fisher.
"I read the front and the back to make sure." Fisher called his daughter, who then called her son to help him in getting it cashed.
“My mother is known for pulling pranks, so when they called, I thought it was just another prank,” his grandson told officials. “They were like, ‘No, for real, this really happened.’”
