A fortunate Baltimore County guy bags a big jackpot recently

A $1 million winning lottery ticket was sold recently at a Towson convenience store, the Maryland Lottery announced Tuesday.

The unknown victor bought their Powerball ticket at Royal Farms #003, located at 7204 York Road. Royal Farms gets a $2,500 bonus from the lottery for selling the winner.

The second-tier winner missed the $645 million jackpot by one number. The ticket was for Monday's Powerball drawing, which generated 18,223 winners in Maryland.

Those prizes ranged from $4 to $1 million. The Powerball jackpot has since grown to $750 million. The next drawing is on Saturday.

In 2024, Maryland has sold three $1 million second-tier winning tickets, seven third-tier winning tickets worth $50,000 and two Double Play winning tickets worth $50,000.
