Fortunate Louisville guy scoops a big jackpot worth of $50,000 recently

A Louisville man has now won two big scratch-off lottery prizes playing the same game in less than a year.

Carl Humphrey hit big on Easter Sunday when he won $50,000 on a 500X scratch-off card he bought in Jeffersontown.

He went to the Marathon store in J-town to get a bag of ice, his second trip to that store that day. While he was there, he decided to buy a Pick 3 ticket and the scratch-off card which he scratched off to reveal several wins totaling the grand prize.

This was not the first time Humphrey won big playing 500X. On Halloween last year, he won another $50,000 prize playing the same scratch-off game.

"I went home and told my wife, 'Guess what, I did it again.' She said, 'You're kidding!' The first time I won, I couldn’t believe it," said Humphrey. "Now I won again, and in J-town."
