Someone in the Ashburn area is likely $1 million dollars richer after a winning lottery ticket was purchased at a local grocery store.
According to the Virginia Lottery, a Powerball ticket for the Monday night drawing (November 26) is now worth a cool $1,000,000.
The lucky ticket was bought at the Harris Teeter grocery store in the Ashbrook Commons shopping center.
That’s the one near the intersection of Ashburn Village Boulevard and Russell Branch Parkway. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The winner has only half an year to claim the winning prize money from the day of the lottery draw, lottery officials said that.
