A prize-winning X100 scratch-off game worth $5,000,000 was sold in Lindenhurst on Tuesday, according to the New York Lottery.

The lucky winner, William O'Donnell, purchased the ticket at Maakrupa Super Stop at 200A Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst.

O’Donnell received a single lump sum payment of $3,255,000, after required withholdings. According to lottery officials, there was one top prize remaining on the Cash X100 ticket at the time of O'Donnell's win.

New York Lottery scratch-off games generated around $4.4 billion in sales during fiscal year 2022-2023, officials said.

Suffolk County school districts received $359,484,595 in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same period, the lottery reported.
