A Hillsborough County woman was a lucky winner after she claimed the $1 million prize from the scratch-off ticket she purchased from a local store.

Derinda Main, 67, bought the $5 million Crossword Cash scratch-off ticket from Discount Cigarette and Grocery at 1424 South Kingsway Road in Seffner.

The word-themed game costs $20 and offers more than $239.6 million in cash prizes including four top prizes of $5 million.

The overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.90, according to the Florida Lottery. Over in Pinellas County, a Clearwater woman also won a $1 million prize from the same scratch-off game.
