A fortunate resident from Carroll wins $10,000 in a lottery game
An Omaha woman has claimed a $10,000 Iowa Lottery prize on a ticket she purchased in Carroll. Paula Lozano Mendoza won the 10th prize of $10,000 in the Iowa Lottery’s “$100,000 Mega Crossword” scratch game.
She purchased her winning ticket at Kimmes Carroll Country Store, 112 N. U.S. Highway 71 in Carroll, and claimed her prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Clive.
The $100,000 Mega Crossword game is a $10 scratch game that features 46 top prizes of $100,000, 92 prizes of $10,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.29.
Lottery officials encourage the winner to come forward, validate their ticket, and begin the process of claiming their substantial prize.
