A fortunate Houston resident wins $2 million recently in scratch off lottery
A Houston resident is $2 million richer after winning one of four top prizes in the Texas Lottery scratch ticket game Cash Spectacular.
The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased the ticket at a southeast Houston corner store.
It was the second of four top prizes that have been claimed. Cash Spectacular offers nearly $250 million in total prizes.
According to the Texas Lottery, the overall odds of winning any prize (including break-even prizes) in the game are one in 3.48.
The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
They also announced that the winner has only 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to claim the winning prize money.
