A fortunate couple from Eastern Iowa wins $75,000 recently
An Eastern Iowa couple is celebrating a big lottery win. On Saturday, they won $75,000 playing a scratch-off ticket game at a local convenience store.
The couple, who chose to remain anonymous, said they had no idea they had won until they saw the ticket.
They had been casually scratching off the tickets for about an hour when they finally hit the jackpot. "My wife and I were both in shock," the winner said.
"We had no idea that we had won until we saw the ticket. We had to do a double-take to make sure we weren't dreaming!" The couple plans to use the money to pay off some bills and maybe take a vacation.
They also plan to invest the money for their future. This win is the latest in a series of big lottery wins for Eastern Iowa residents.
Last year, a local couple won $100,000 playing the same scratch-off game.
