A Dorchester county guy wins $5 million in scratch off lottery game
A Dorchester County man started off his February right with a $5 million scratch-off purchased from a Dash In in Worcester County.
“We are very grateful for this win,” said winner of the lottery, Troy Deneau. Deneau discovered the second $5 million top-prize winning scratch-off in the 50 Years! lottery game.
He visited Maryland Lottery headquarters on Monday with his wife Rachel to collect his prize. The 50 Years! game, which arrived in stores with three $5 million top prizes on Feb. 20, 2023, was part of the Maryland Lottery’s 50th anniversary celebration.
The first top-prize winner hailed from New Carrollton. A super fan of the $50 scratch-off, Deneau said it is the only lottery game he currently plays.
He’s been on a hot streak, too, winning $100, $200 and $10,000 on different 50 Years! instant tickets.
