A Cumberland farms guy wins $1 million in Massachusetts state lottery

A Massachusetts state lottery player from Cumberland farms scoops a big jackpot recently

A Cumberland Farms gas station in Massachusetts sold a winning $1 million lottery ticket that was claimed on Monday.

The $1 million prize was from “$2,500,000 Merry & Bright,” a $10 game released Oct. 15. There are still three $1 million prizes and one $2.5 million grand prize remaining to be claimed as of Jan. 14.

The winning ticket was sold at a Cumberland Farms in Auburn. Another $1 million prize was also claimed Monday from a “$1,000,000 Ultimate 7? scratch ticket.

The winning ticket was sold at a Petro Mart in New Bedford. Additionally, someone claimed a $100,000 prize from a “300X” scratch ticket.

It was sold from a package store called Liquor World in Franklin. Overall, at least 745 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Monday, including 17 in Springfield, 27 in Worcester and 64 in Boston.

The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.
