An area resident is $22,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket at a Derby business, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
On Friday, a Seymour resident purchased a winning "KENO" ticket at Exxon Mart in Derby and won $22,500, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
The CT Lottery furnishes winner information as public record. The Connecticut Lottery only publishes names of people who win $10,000 or more, which officials claim is quite common.
The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
They also announced that the winner has only 180 days from the day of the lottery draw.
