A big winning $50,000 Powerball lottery ticket is sold out in St. Charles county

A Powerball lottery player from St.Charles county wins a big jackpot

A $50,000 winning Powerball ticket was sold at a gas station in St. Charles County.

The ticket was purchased from Midwest Petroleum, located at 1060 Bryan Rd. in O’Fallon. One woman in the county found herself in luck, having matched four of the white-ball numbers in addition to the Powerball number in a drawing on Feb. 21.

According to the Missouri Lottery, St. Charles County sold nine winning Powerball tickets for $50,000 or more in 2023.

So far this year, there have been three other winners of $50,000 or more, including two scratcher prizes and a Show Me Cash jackpot prize. The chances of winning $50,000 or more are 1 in 913,129.18, according to the Kansas City Star.

In 2023, Missouri Lottery players in St. Charles County won over $63.3 million, with over $6 million of that going to education programs within the county, a release said.
