A big winning $10,000 lottery ticket is sold out in Hay Springs
A big Nebraska Lottery ticket was sold out in the Panhandle for Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing, and the one who got it is a $10,000 winner.
Nebraska Lottery officials said that a winning ticket was sold at Sacker’s in Hay Springs, marking the evening’s top prize in the state.
The winning ticket matched four of the five numbers drawn plus the Mega Ball.
The overall odds of doing that feat come in at a cool 1 in 931,000, while getting 5 of 5 and the Mega Ball is about a 1 in 302 million chance.
The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
They also announced that the winner has only 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to claim the winning prize money.
