The Mega Millions jackpot continues to grow, and one ticket sold in Virginia won big during Tuesday night’s drawing!

Virginia Lottery says a ticket sold at Joe’s Kwik Marts in Suffolk won $1 million after matching the first five winning numbers.

The store received a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The jackpot has now reached $977 million ahead of Friday night’s drawing.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.

They also announced that the winner has only 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to claim the winning prize money.
