A Lucky Staten Island's guy scoops a big jackpot recently in scratch off lottery game

A winning scratch-off game worth the $3 million top prize was sold at a deli on Staten Island, New York Lottery officials announced.

The winning Electric 10X scratch-off was purchased recently at Sunrise Gourmet Deli, located at 3014 Richmond Road in Richmond. While it’s not clear who purchased the winner, MMNJ24, a Staten Island-based limited liability company (LLC), came forward to claim the prize, opting for a single lump sum payment of $1,573,457 after required withholdings, according to a Lottery press release.

A worker at the deli on Saturday said he didn’t know the person who purchased the winner, but added the store sold another winning ticket about a month ago, noting they have been on a “streak” of late.

As of Saturday, there is still one top prize remaining on the Electric 10X ticket. Lottery officials encourage the winner to come forward, validate their ticket, and begin the process of claiming their substantial prize.

As the buzz continues to build, residents in Monroe and Milford join in celebrating the extraordinary stroke of luck that has brought joy to one lucky individual.
