A big $100,000 lottery ticket is sold out in New Canaan recently
A New York resident is $100,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket this week in New Canaan, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
On Wednesday, Longzhe Han of Flushing, N.Y., won $100,000 playing a "$500,000 Extravaganza! Second Edition" game.
The winning ticket was purchased from Keans Korner LLC in New Canaan.
The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
They also announced that the winner has only 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to the winning prize money and if not claimed then it will be donated to a charity.
The winner told the lottery officials that after claiming the winning prize money he will buy a brand new car for his own.
