A Florida lottery player from Baldwin county scoops a big jackpot

A Baldwin County man has some more cash as the Florida Lottery announced the winner of the Tripe 777 Scratch-Off game.

The winner was identified as 49-year-old Jeremy Smith of Lillian. Lottery officials said Smith claimed a $2 million prize from the game that he chose to receive in the form of a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,280,000.00.

Below is a photo provided by officials that shows Smith’s winning ticket. According to a news release from Florida Lottery Communications, Smith purchased his winning ticket from the CEFCO Convenience Store (5330 Gulf Breeze Parkway) in Gulf Breeze.

That store received a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket. The news release said that with this lottery ticket, scratch-off games have awarded more than $63.1 billion in prizes.
