A Ascension Parish guy wins a big jackpot worth of $280,000 recently

A lottery ticket valued at $280,089 was sold at a convenience store just before Memorial Day.

The winning Easy 5 ticket was bought at a store on South Burnside Avenue on Saturday, May 27, according to Louisiana Lottery.

The winning numbers were 06, 07, 29, 32 and 36. Overall odds of winning a prize with Easy 5 are 1 in 8 with the odds of winning a cash jackpot being 1 in 435,897, the Louisiana Lottery website says.

The winner told the lottery officials that he will buy a brand new car for his own after claiming the winning prize money so that he can go to his office more conveniently.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
