A monopoly lottery player from Palm Beach county wins a big jackpot

A woman from Lake Worth has more than five million reasons to smile. The Florida Lottery announced on Tuesday that a 60-year-old resident of Lake Worth, Ana Larsen, has claimed a $5 million top prize from the Monopoly Secret Vault scratch-off game.

Lottery officials said Larsen bought her winning ticket from the 7-Eleven at 7031 Jog Road.

With a 1-in-2.95 chance of winning, Larsen turned her $20 ticket into a $5 million prize.

Larsen chose to receive her winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $2.8 million.

The Florida Lottery said the 7-Eleven received a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
