No one won the $70 million lottery prize but two people woke up winners

If you recently purchased a lottery ticket, here's hoping it brought you some luck, even if it was just a Free Play. The Lotto Max jackpot is still waiting to be claimed, sitting at its maximum amount of $70 million, as no one matched the winning numbers 01, 12, 16, 21, 29, 43, 49, and 08 in the recent draw.

Although the top prize remained elusive, there were two fortunate winners who walked away with significant payouts during the Friday, June 2 draw. While one ticket successfully matched six of the seven winning numbers along with the bonus number, earning a handsome prize of $342,257.10, the winning ticket was purchased in Ontario.

In another stroke of luck, one lottery player woke up a millionaire after winning one of the ten MaxMillions prizes. With a matching combination of numbers—20, 31, 34, 37, 40, 45, and 47—the lucky individual will soon be celebrating with a generous $1 million cheque. The winning ticket was purchased in Western Canada.

As anticipation builds, the next Lotto Max draw is scheduled for Tuesday, June 6. Alongside the coveted $70 million jackpot, there are now 16 MaxMillions prizes waiting to be won, adding to the excitement for participants across the country.
