NJ Lottery Warns Players About Expiring $5.9 Million Jackpot

A massive $5.9 million lottery prize in New Jersey is still sitting unclaimed — and the countdown is almost over. One lucky ticket holder has less than two weeks left to cash in before the jackpot disappears for good.

The winning Pick-6 ticket matched all six numbers from the May 22 drawing last year:
20, 21, 24, 30, 31, and 44.

Here’s the wild part:

  • The ticket was sold at an Exxon station in Roseland, Essex County.
  • Nobody has claimed the money yet.
  • The deadline to collect the prize is May 22, 2026.

Lottery officials are now urging players across New Jersey to dig through drawers, wallets, cars, and old jackets for forgotten tickets. If the winner doesn’t come forward in time, the entire jackpot will be returned to the lottery prize pool.

The lucky ticket was purchased at the Eisenhower Exxon on Eagle Rock Avenue, and it has remained untouched for nearly a year.

Players can still double-check their numbers using the New Jersey Lottery app or the online ticket checker before time officially runs out.

With millions on the line, this could easily be one of the biggest forgotten lottery tickets in the state.
