$20 scratch-off lottery ticket leads to $100,000 lottery win in North Carolina, the winner of the lottery will soon be $100k times richer than before.
Amarfis Lopez, of Durham, took a chance on a $20 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize.
Lopez bought her winning Platinum ticket from Cross Creek Convenience on Guess Road in Durham.
The winner turned $20 investment into $100,000 worth of lottery prize.
After required state and federal tax withholdings, she took home $71,016.
The winner has not yet decided what they are going to do with the winning prize.
